Quick Description: This Historical Marker is mounted on the flagpole base at Minden Park in Minden, Nevada. It is Stop #1 on the Discover Minden Walking Tour. A brochure detailing all 48 stops of the tour is available from the Minden Chamber of Commerce.

Long Description:
Minden Park

Built in 1906, the park became the "town square" for the first residential section of Minden. The first bandstand, a rectangular structure, was built in 1914. The present bandstand was built by the Minden Rotary Club in 1984 and dedicated to Wilton Neddenriep, a valley rancher and Rotarian who was killed in an accident on his ranch.
