The posted coordinates will take you to a spot on Park Road 7 where you can walk straight out onto the dam.
The Civilian Conservation Corps built the dam across Bee Creek in 1934, creating Lake Meridian. The dam was made of earth and native limestone rock. A masonry limestone abutment sits at the end of the dam and creates the spillway into Bee Creek. The dam creates a shallow no-wake fishing lake that is the centerpiece of Lake Meridian State Park.
