This pole is located in Thunderbird Park in front of the Wawadit'la, the big house that was built by Mungo Martin for the opening of the park in 1953.
Rather than using his own crests, Mungo Martin chose the crests of many nations from the Kwakwaka'wakw people.
At the top the Thunderbird Crest of A'wa'etlala family of Dzwadi, Knight Inlet.
Next is a Grizzly Bear holding a Copper, followed by a Grizzly in Human form, a beaver and Dzunukwa the wild woman of the woods holding her child.
