This Springhouse, in the form of a teepee, is located just northwest of the intersection of US Highway 550 and Chepita Road in Chipeta State Park on the southern edge of Montrose, Colorado.

The springhouse was erected in 1924 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. A new memorial plaque was erected by the D.A.R. in 2009. While the spring still flows, a modern cap has been placed over it to keep out debris that might stop the flow. The cap has a warning sticker stating that the water is unsafe to drink. The new memorial plaque mounted on the boulder next to the teepee reads:
