This property was purchased by Samuel and Orpha Hughes in 1908 and they are believed to have built this Bungalow circa 1918. They sold the property in 1930, followed by several more sales between then and 1947. Donald and Betty Rasmussen owned and occupied the house from 1948 to 1956. Mr. Rasmussen was involved with the development of the Marionberry and with introducing the Northwest Strawberry to the Willamette Valley. Per the nomination form "Mrs. Rasmussen served on the Governor's Task Force on Mental Health and on the State Mental Health Advisory Committee."
