Viola Baptist Church - Shell Knob, MO - Baptist Churches on Waymarking.com

Viola Baptist is named after an unincorporated area that consists of the church, a gas station, and a couple of houses, and is served by the Shell Knob post office. The church is right on the county line. The pastor of this church at the time of this listing (2013) had been our pastor at Prairie Hill Baptist Church near Washburn; but through a series of curious incidents, God moved him over to Viola, even though we all miss him and his wife at Prairie Hill.

You can see from the pictures that this church consists of a very old building with a newer, bigger building attached. According to the 1919 Minutes of the Barry County Southern Baptist Association this church was organized in 1884.
