Axis is a steel sculpture by American sculptor Richard Serra (born 1939), put up in 1989 outside the Bielefeld art gallery. It is a typical example for Serra's work and consists of three solid steel plates, each of which is 10 meters tall, 4.8 meters wide and 5 cm thick.
