EN: The former mill in the town center of Sissach was first mentioned in 1323. The history of the building is not documented, parts of the substance of the east wing date probably back to the 16th century, the north wing is likely to be younger. Both wings are three stories high and have steep gable roofs. The east wing was originally a mill, the north wing was used as a residence. In 1905 the mill was abandoned and the whole complex converted into a residential building. The exterior was recently renovated.
DE: Die ehemalige Mühle im Dorfkern von Sissach wurde erstmals 1323 erwähnt. Die Baugeschichte ist nicht dokumentiert, die Bausubstanz des Ostflügels dürfte wohl zum Teil aus dem 16. Jahrhundert stammen, der Nordflügel dürfte jünger sein. Beide Flügel sind dreistöckig mit steilen Satteldächern. Ursprünglich war der Ostflügel eine Mühle, der Nordflügel wurde als Wohnhaus benutzt. 1905 wurde der Mühlebetrieb aufgegeben und das ganze Gebäude zu einem Wohnhaus umgebaut. Das Äussere wurde kürzlich renoviert.
