EN: The Roman Catholic Church St. Nicholas is located south of the historic town center of Brugg.

After the Reformation in 1528 it was not until the 19th century that Catholics settled in Brugg. In 1898 a church organization was founded, which was successful after a few years. The church was built from 1905 to 1907 after plans by Adolf Gaudy in the style of Neo-Baroque. The church is considered a major work of the neo-baroque church architecture in Aargau and was listed in the regional monument register in 1976.

Nach der Reformation 1528 siedelten sich erst im 19. Jahrhundert wieder Katholiken in Brugg an. 1898 wurde ein Kirchenverein gegründet, der schon nach einigen Jahren erfolgreich war. Die Kirche wurde 1905 bis 1907 nach Plänen von Adolf Gaudy im Stil des Neubarock erbaut. Die Kirche gilt als bedeutendes Werk des neubarocken Kirchenbaus im Aargau und wurde 1976 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
