The dome inside the Leavenworth Couhnty courthouse surprised us first by it's existence, and then with its beauty!
It is not apparent from the severe Greek Revival facade of this National Register building that a dome is hidden inside - it is not visible at all from outside of the building. That's what made finding this beauty such a pleasant surprise! :)
