Now rebranded as Midwest Music, this vintage store has an exciting edgy vibe that will draw in the younger crowd without alienating longtime customers.
By hosting a cool harmonica-sculpture as part of Salina's public art Sculpture Tour in 2002, Edgington's Midwest Music is an active player in the revitalization in Salina's once-neglected downtown, and a major supporter of Salina'a arts and entertainment district.
Richard Bergen, a famous Kansas sculptor (he did the Ad Astra bronze on the roof of the KS State capitol) created this mixed media giant Harmonica for the Salina Sculpture Tour symposium in 2002. After the symposium, various businesses sponsored placing these sculptures along Santa Fe Street.

Blasterz had a great time looking at all these cool pieces of public art. This is the only musical instrument sculpture, so it is fitting that it is located here in front of downtown's nearly 50-year old musical instrument store :)
