Unfortunately, an internet search does not reveal any additional information about Jose Miguel Funes.
The lifesized (or slightly smaller) sculpture depicts Funes standing in clerical robes holding a book...probably the Bible to his chest with both hands as he looks out straight in front of him.
There is no information at the site about the artist, but the plaque on the plinth reads:
"PRESBITERO
JOSE MIGUEL FUNES
20 SEPTIEMBRE 1839 - 3 NOVIEMBRE 1915
INSIGNE BENEFACTOR Y RESTAURADOR
DE LA ORDEN DE PREDICADORES EN
EL SALVADOR PROMOTOR DE LA DEVOCION
A NUESTRA SENORA DEL ROSARIO
SAN SALVADOR 3 NOVIEMBRE 1965"
which Google interprets as:
"PRESBITERO
JOSE MIGUEL Funes
20 SEPTEMBER 1839-3 NOV 1915
FAMOUS SUPPORTER AND RESTORING
ORDER OF PREACHERS IN
EL SALVADOR PROMOTER OF DEVOTION
OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
SAN SALVADOR 3 NOVEMBER 1965"
