This Memorial is metal plaque placed in a stone pedestal. In the plaque you can read:

"Veterans Day 11 November 1987
The citizens of Tybee Island and members of the American Legion Post 154 dedicate this plaque to honor Tybee Island residents who served with distinction in the Armed Forces of the United States during the Korean War and the Vietnam War."
