Lucille Ball lived in this house when the death of her father in 1915 forced her mother to move into her parents home in Celoron. Here Lucy lived with her mother, younger brother Freddie, aunt Lola, cousin Cleo and her grandparents, Fred and Flora Hunt from 1915 to 1927 when they moved into nearby Jamestown. Before the street was renamed in her honor, the address was 59 West 8th Street.

Personal Experience:
My parents were big fans of Lucy and we never missed one of her shows back in the 50's unless there was a pretty good reason. Of course we had no VCR's back then. My GGgrandfather, GGrandfather and Grandfather and their wives are buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Jamestown, less than .1 mile from Miss Ball's grave. She attended the same high school as my grandmother. Visiting locations like this always gives perspective to life. Feelings of nostalgia and longing to return to those days of my childhood for just a little bit. Makes you feel connected to history.
