Northeast Missouri State Teachers College

The first Missouri State Normal estab. March 19, 1870 Joseph Baldwin, Pres

The first Baldwin Hall Occupied Jan. 16, 1873 Burned Jan. 28, 1924

This boulder, provide for the Class of 1916 by Hubert Collett from the place of the first white settlement in Adair county.  Was presented to Northeast Missouri State Teachers College as a permanent marker for the site of Old Baldwin Hall at the 73rd Annual Spring Convocation May 23, 1941.

Acceptance Address: Roland A. Zeigel, Sec. of the Board of Regents

The bolder is mounted near the east entrance of the building 

First established as the North Missouri Normal School and Commercial College September 2, 1867
