This traverse station is located at the north end of the historic Depoe Bay Bridge on U.S. Hwy. 101 in Depoe Bay, Oregon. The cap is located in the northeast corner of the bridge’s west sidewalk. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1952 and was stamped REEF.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 20.8 KM (12.90 MI) NORTH FROM NEWPORT. 20.8 KM (12.90 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 101 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 20 IN NEWPORT, IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE WEST SIDEWALK OF A BRIDGE SPANNING DEPOE BAY INLET, 8.3 M (27.2 FT) WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 4.2 M (13.8 FT) EAST OF BENCH MARK Q 198, 4.0 M (13.1 FT) NORTH OF THE NORTH END OF A GUARDRAIL, 1.4 M (4.6 FT) WEST OF THE WEST CURB OF THE HIGHWAY, AND 0.5 M (1.6 FT) SOUTH OF THE NORTH END OF THE SIDEWALK. THE MARK IS 0.2 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
