This Milwaukee Elevator Company grain elevator, built in 1902, has been beautifully restored and augmented with a restored Milwaukee Road boxcar and extended-vision caboose to illustrate the past importance of the railroad in the farming regions of Minnesota. Preston is the end-of-day stop on the two-day itinerary listed for touring the Historic Bluff Country Scenic Byway. The elevator is highlighted (prior to restoration) in the photos for the Byway.
