The memorial consists of a simple bronze plaque that reads:

Nanaimo Remembers
Diana
Princess of Wales
1961 - 1997

In the center of the plaque is an English Rose. The plaque is attached to a small, square slab of composite rock. The slab is placed at the base of a small garden of white roses.
