This beacon is on top of a conical hill called Castle Kop. There are two similar hills close to each other which are the origin of the name for the area - "Two Sisters".

The beacon is on private property, and it might be accessible by special arrangement with the farmer. It can however be clearly seen from almost anywhere to the east, and the best viewpoint is immediately in front of the hill from the farm track.
