Garvin Park is one of the oldest parks in Evansville. It opened in 1915 with the purcahse of 90 acres of land from Thomas Garvin, the namesake of the park. The park is bordered by historic minor league baseball stadium, Bosse Field.
The park is an 80 acre area that is home to several distinct features. There is a large stocked lake, stocked with rainbow trout among other fish. There are 2 playground areas, a public swimming pool, 4 youth baseball fields, the minor league baseball field, and a walking trail around the lake.
The park was designed by a student of famous park engineer, Frederick Law Olmsted. It is located at the termination of N. Main St.
