The First Congregational Church in Malone was organized in 1807. The present church was built on this site in 1883.

The previous church, built in 1856, was a stop along the Underground Railway, a route used by fleeing slaves prior to the Civil War. One of the underground tunnels still exists under the current church.

Former Vice President

William Wheeler, a Malone native, was a member of the congregation.
