Detweiller Marina - Peoria, IL - Marinas on Waymarking.com

In Peoria, along the shore of the Illinois River, is the Detweiller Marina.

The marina is located at the end of Caroline Street, about a block southeast of Adams Street. Tbe marina is also 1 mile northeast of the center of Peoria. It is also at river marker 163.4.

The web site for the marina lists the following facilities at the marina:

•180 in-water slips ranging from 20' to 30', with state-of-the-art electric/water pedestals with 30A twist lock receptacle
•Overnight docks available for $25 per night. Overnight parking is available for $12.50 per night.
•20 in-water beach slips (no power, water is available)
•20 dry dock spots available with free launch for season
•3 public launch ramps, accessible even in high water - launch fee of $5 for any size boat. $5 fee is handled through an honesty envelope policy. Read signs on Marina entry off of Caroline Street for more details.

The marina is within a public park along the river. There is a playground and picnic facilities nearby. There are industrial and residential buildings in from the river. At the facility, there were restroom facilities, but there was only a vending machine for drinks. There wasn't a restaurant or other store seen in the area - for restaurants and other activities in the city, you should first stop in downtown Peoria.

The marina is open from May 1 to November 1, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
