"Before restoration the font had been located in the north aisle by the north door. It was customary for the font to be close to a doorway, where the baptised person could be symbolically welcomed into the church. Now a new font, the gift of the Misses Moore, was placed to the east end of the north aisle behind the pulpit and near the entrance to the Bosworth chapel."
