EN: The rectory of Therwil is located northwest of St. Stephan's Church, near the entrance to the churchyard.
The house was built in 1768 and replaced a previous building, which was first mentioned in 1572. The plans came from Pierre François Paris, the court architect of the bishop. 1781 had to be renovated for the first time. Further modifications were in 1925 and 1951, when also the façade and the roof form were changed.
The two-storey building with a square base belongs stylistically to the transitional period between the late Baroque and Classicism, except for the younger mansard roof.
DE: Das Pfarrhaus von Therwil befindet sich nordwestlich der Kirche St. Stephan, nahe beim Eingang zum Kirchhof.
Das Haus wurde 1768 erbaut und ersetzte eine Vorgängerbau, der erstmals 1572 erwähnt wurde. Die Pläne kamen von Pierre François Paris, dem Hofarchitekten des Bischofs. 1781 musste es zum ersten mal renoviert werden. Weitere Umbauten gab es 1925 und 1951, wobei auch die Fassade und die Dachform verändert wurden.
Das zweigeschossige Gebäude mit quadratischem Grundriss gehört stilistisch, ausser dem jüngeren Mansarddach, in die Übergangszeit zwischen Spätbarock und Klassizismus.
