EN: The church St. Mauritius is located inside the walled churchyard in the center of Oberdornach. The building probably dates back to the early Middle Ages, it was first documented in 1301; the current choir is from the 15th century and the nave was extended and rebuilt in 1784. In 1938 a larger church was built nearby, the community sold the old church to the canton, it was converted to the current museum of local history that opened in 1949.

DE: Die Kirche St. Mauritius befindet sich in einem ummauerten Kirchhof im Zentrum von Oberdornach. Das Gebäude stammt vermutlich aus dem frühen Mittelalter, es ist zum ersten Mal im Jahre 1301 dokumentiert, der heutige Chor stammt aus dem 15. Jahrhundert und das Kirchenschiff wurde im Jahre 1784 vergrössert. 1938 wurde eine größere Kirche in der Nähe gebaut; die Kirchgemeinde verkaufte die alte Kirche an den Kanton, der es in ein Heimatmuseum umbauen liess, das im Jahre 1949 eröffnet wurde.
