This is an old farm windmill that we spied through the snow while headed south toward Spokane a couple of weeks ago. Just off Highway 395 to the west, this is just north of
Front Porch Farm & Antiques. As to its condition - well, it's still standing and still has its head, which a great many no longer have. I would imagine that it is in its original position and was used to pump water both for use in the farm house and for watering stock.
The shop adjacent is open year round and is a purveyor of both antiques and home grown produce. One may park at the shop, only about 60 or 70 feet from the windmill.
Below, I selected "NO" for its functionality because, though the head and blades are still intact, I doubt it has been operated in many years.
