On 20th January 2000, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of the fire station in Sindelfingen happened. The construction was carried out in two phases, which extended over a year each. The execution of the construction work in sections, it was necessary to ensure constant readiness for use, despite the construction. It was completed in October 2002 with a great ceremony.
Today, the fire station has 17 pitches, an administration building, workshop areas, standby rooms, training rooms, a respiratory protection system, a hose tower, a large living room connected to a kitchen and six apartments.
There are about 120 members.
The fire fighters had been founded in 1859.
