Eleos Ministries operates on the paradigm of Healing rooms. As such, their philosophy is outlined below.
The Healing Room Philosophy
• The Bible forms and guides the foundation of our beliefs and practices. We believe that the Bible speaks deeply into the problems that we face.
• We believe our healing and wholeness is centered in Jesus Christ, the ultimate Healer.
• We believe true and lasting change is the result of God’s work in the person, a work that he often uses other people to help accomplish.
• We believe individuals have the greatest opportunity for long-term healing and wholeness when they are part of a supportive network of relationships, where they can experience caring and help in their personal growth.
• We believe human beings are created as a complex whole and that the healing process may include the spiritual, cognitive, emotional, relational, and physical aspects of each person. With this complexity in mind, we acknowledge the value and importance of medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other helping professionals.
• We believe our healing and wholeness is typically a life process rather than an instantaneous event. The more actively involved and committed a person is, the more effective the process will be. A ministry team member cannot do the work for you, but is here to support you through the process.
• Our ministry and services are client-centered, embracing people where they are, working alongside them in setting personal goals and strategies and respecting their right to choose their own belief system, faith and values. Individuals always have choice about what is offered, and nothing is done without their permission.
