EN: Ritterhof was rebuilt in 1743 by Councilman Frey-Nübling at the location of an earlier building, which was first mentioned in 1333.
Before the new building was completed, it was sold to the silk ribbon manufacturer Franz De Bary-Weiss, who organized his headquarters there. After 1834 Ritterhofr was taken over by Carl Burckhardt-Vischer, who let reshape it into a magnificent town house. Its current appearance is largely from this period. Since 1942 the house has been used again as an office building.
The three-story house has a simple façade with corner pilaster strips and string courses. Parts of the interior, such as stoves and canvas wallpapers, date back to the 18th century.
DE: Der Ritterhof wurde 1743 vom Ratsherr Remigius Frey-Nübling neu erbaut an der Stelle eines Vorgängerbaus, der 1333 erstmals erwähnt wurde.
Noch vor der Fertigstellung des Neubaus wurde er an den Seidenbandfabrikanten Franz De Bary-Weiss verkauft, der darin seinen Firmensitz einrichtete. Nach 1834 wurde der Ritterhof von Carl Burckhardt-Vischer übernommen, der ihn zu einem repräsentativen Wohnhaus umbauen liess. Das heutige Erscheinungsbild geht weit gehend auf diese Zeit zurück. Seit 1942 wird das Haus wieder als Bürogebäude genutzt.
Das dreistöckige Haus hat eine schlichte Fassade mit Ecklisenen und Gurtgesimsen. Teile der Innenausstattung, wie Kachelöfen und Leinwandtapeten, stammen noch aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.
