A well maintained building adjacent to the Trades Hall. Although I was unable to find any reference to this building Lithgow workers had developed a reputation for their strong unionised activity. The conditions under which coal miners were forced to operate, particularly in the early years of the industry, required a strong voice for worker's rights.
There were 46 different unions operating in the Lithgow valley so a building as large as this would have been required to house the delegates & their staff.
