EN: Sevogelschulhaus was built in 1884 by Eduard Vischer. The symmetrical three-storey building has two wings which enclose the protruding porch. The ground floor consists of sandstone, the upper floors are made of exposed bricks.
The school was originally named after the Quartier St. Alban school; soon the naming after the road became more common and finally the official name. The two sides of the house were gender separated in the beginning, the school had room for about 800 pupils. The house is still a primary school which is attended by about 230 pupils.
DE: Das Sevogelschulhaus wurde 1884 von Eduard Vischer gebaut. Das symmetrische dreistöckige Gebäude hat zwei Seitenflügel, die den vorstehenden Eingangsbereich einfassen. Das Erdgeschoss besteht aus Sandstein, die Obergeschosse sind aus Sichtbacksteinen gefertigt.
Das Schulhaus wurde ursprünglich nach dem Quartier St. Albanschule genannt; bald wurde der Name nach der Strasse aber geläufiger und auch zur offiziellen Bezeichnung. Die zwei Hälften des Hauses waren zu Beginn nach Geschlechtern getrennt, die Schule hatte Platz für über 800 Schüler. Das Haus ist auch heute noch eine Primarschule, die von etwa 230 Schülern besucht wird.
