Established in 1950, Willamette National Cemetery contains more than 160,000 graves on approximately 270 acres. It is located in Portland, Oregon on the northeastern flank of Mount Scott, straddling the Multnomah and Clackamas County line. The cemetery contains the final resting places of four recipients of the Medal of Honor. A Korean War Memorial is dedicated to the 283 Oregonians who died in the war. It is also the final resting place of former Oregon Governor and U.S. Senator Mark O. Hatfield.
