Mabel Frances Poole was born in 1884 and passed away in 1988 at the age of 104. She married Disney Gough Poole on April 26, 1911. He died on June 8, 1970.

Some events that took place during her life time included: Battle of Batoche, Canadian Pacific Railway is completed from coast to coast, First Canadian troops sent to participate in the Boer War in South Africa, Gold being discovered in the Klondike, Anne of Green Gables was published, First World War, Women are considered "Persons", birth of the Dionne quintuplets, World War II, Women won right to vote, and O' Canada officially becomes the national anthem of Canada.
