Seacow Head Lighthouse was originally built in 1864. It is a 70 foot octagonal lighthouse and is one of the oldest wood frame towers standing in the Maritimes. It was automated in 1959 and the tower was moved in 1979.
It stands at an elevation of approximately 70 feet above sealevel on high steep cliffs. A lighthouse has shone from Seacow Head since 1863. One could easily spend a day here, walking and climbing to view the lighthouse from many other vantage points.
