The Caledonian Canal connects the east coast of Scotland with the west coast. Several scenic lochs lie in between these two coasts, and are connected by the Caledonian Canal. Fort Augustus is the home of Loch Ness, and Loch Ness is the home of one of Scotland’s most infamous characters, “Nessie” the Loch Ness Monster.
