Located on the campus of Reno High School and near a large, brick-shaped 'R' is a flag pole with a dated plaque that reads:

HI Y CLUB
1952

The Hi Y Club is (was?) a yearbook club at Reno High School and presented this flag pole as a gift to the new school, which opened its doors to students in 1951. There is a wonderful history on Reno High School and can be read about in more detail from the Link Piazzo Alumni Center website here.
