The historic building was completed in 1916, and saved from demolition in 1972. Now the Bank of the West, originally First National Bank, also known as Oregon Pioneer Saving and Loan Building, is located at 401 SW Fifth Avenue. Architects: Coolidge and Shattuck (Boston). Classical Revival architectural style.
