From the parking area at Todd Lake, off Cascade Lakes Highway west of Bend, travel generally NE on FR370 for about 4.2 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 6"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: The corner is about 1830' N of the road. There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears N, 3' distant. Found three mountain hemlocks with scribed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags. Found a 3" aluminum cap, stamped GPS 9 1999, called as a reference monument, which bears SSE, 440' distant. Also happened on a 3" aluminum cap, stamped GPS 8 1999, which bears S, 890' distant, but is unrelated to the corner.
