Titisee is a lake in the southern Black Forest. It was created by the Feldberg Glacier in the Pleistocene and has today a surface area of about 1.3 square kilometers. The lake is located at a height of about 845 meters above see level.
Titisee is also the name of the only town at the lake shore, it merged in 1971 with neighboring Neustadt and some other villages to a city with the official name Titisee-Neustadt.
Titisee is one of the major tourist destinations in the area and can be very crowded in summer.
