Mission Island Marsh Conservation Area is one of ten conservation areas maintained by the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. There are several walking trails, a boardwalk and viewing platform, picnic facilities, and a pavillion with interpretive displays. Visitors can enjoy a quiet walk along easy trails, view wildlife, and take in marvelous views of the harbour.

There are about two kilometres of trails on level terrain


What points of interest are there?:
A boardwalk takes visitors along the edge of Lake Superior and then through the marsh, providing spectacular views of the bay, and opportunities for wildlife viewing. There is also an elevated viewing platform.

Hiking and wildlife viewing

Caution is required along the shoreline due to erosion

Fee box is located in the parking lot. Day use permit is $2 per vehicle. An annual pass good at all ten Conservation Areas is $30.
