In Frederick, in a brick building, is the Frederick Visitor Center.
The center is located in the city. We went through many roads, so directions aren't easy from U.S. 15. It is near the intersection of MD Route 144 (South Street) and East Street, and by Commerce Street.
The visitor center has a large room, with several areas based on themes containing brochures, etc. for various landmarks, places to eat and more. On one wall, there is a large mural of the Point of Rocks landmark along the Potomac River.
Restrooms are available at the facility. I did not see any food offered within the facility. I'm sure there are many options within the city.
