For the initial five years of its life a bank, the silver crash of 1893 changed that and it has since been a range of other things, but never again a bank.

Sayr's Building
First known as the Hyde Block, this building was constructed by banker Joseph Hyde and his wife, Mary, in 1888. It housed the First National Bank until the silver crash of 1893. In 1904, Frank Sayrs purchased the building and it has since held a number of businesses including a tailor’s shop, drug stores, and a recreation center. The fine design of this two-story commercial structure features a chamfered, or beveled, corner with a modillioned metal cornice and pediment.
From the NRHP Plaque
Describe the area and history: Broadway Street in the old mining town of Philipsburg is the original main thoroughfare in the town and, as such, is lined with historic buildings, the majority of which have been restored and are still used as commercial and retail buildings
On the corner of Broadway and Sansome Streets, this is yet another building in Philipsburg with a plethora of gingerbread. I won't even attempt to describe it - just enjoy the pics.
