This Pole was planted with the help of middle school students attending a retreat. In a city that boasts the U.S. Air Force Academy, Peterson Air Force Base, Fort Carson Army Base, North American Aerospace Defense Command, and Schriever Air Force Base, the congregation thought it was time to show that we can work for Peace in a non-military way. The Pole is located near the front entrance to the church, visible to passers-by, at 950 Vindicator Drive.
The rocks at the base of the pole have names of countries, cities, and schools written on them by the students, who'll take back the message of peace to their homes around Colorado and New Mexico.
