Stan Jones Cycles was established in 1951, trading from premises at Coleham, Shrewsbury. Stan spent his early days renovating and repairing old bikes, working hard through the evenings. He quickly gained a good reputation and the Business flourished.

The Business was successfully passed on to son Tom and moved premises to Hills Lane, Shrewsbury; Tom ran the business until he retired in 2007. The business is still in the Jones Family and is run by Mike, grandson of Stan and son of Tom. Mike is a very well respected and highly regarded cyclist in the Midlands area, having raced at a very high level for over 27 years.

This family shop has a wealth of experience to offer its customers, with expert advice on all forms of Cycling from Mike and his team. Their experienced and qualified mechanics have well over 80 years of combined knowledge between them. All their Sales staff have extensive knowledge of off road, Touring, Commuting and Road Cycling. Every aspect of cycling is covered from Children’s cycles to Specialist Mountain and Racing Cycles.

The main aim of their shop is to give good service and knowledgeable advice. They are a local bike shop but offer their services to all their customers anywhere in the Country.

In February 2012 they renamed the business "Stan's Cycles" and moved into their new expanded shop on Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury. Lovingly restored, the building retains many of its architectural features including exposed wooden floors, Victorian coving and Iron Work and is a amazing environment to show bicycles. They are still very much a family business run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

However, once inside, we soon found ourselves exploring the super selection of bicycles on display.
