1798 – Small brick building for County Clerk
1804 – Surrogate's addition built on northeast side
1850 – Design for new building by Philadelphia architect Gordon Parker Cummings
1853 – County Clerk & Surrogate building completion 36' x 48'
– Evidence of two later rear additions
1968 – County Clerk & Surrogate relocate to New Courthouse
1978 – Entrance atrium converted two floors
1987 – Building rehabilitation
