This beacon is at Murch Point, the highest point in the Northern Cape. It is situated on private property, so you will need to get permission from the land owner.
The best option is to contact Nieu-Bethesda Information to try and get the contact details of the current owner.
Set aside at least 2 hours to get to the top. No climbing required, you just walk up a steep hill to the top. The views from the top is stunning.
Visit Instructions:We don't require you to provide any specific proof of your visit, but we do request that you upload photos if possible, the more the merrier.
Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
