This mill was in operation until 1934 on wind power; in that year, total disintegration; the remaining hull was equipped with a silo, mixing vessel, elevator, basement collapsed, cake crusher and hammer mill. This feed company in this way been active up to ± 1964.
Then the mill was neglected. There were even plans to demolish mill trunk and under the octagon. Unless it came: the existing foundation on its own wings "was transformed into the Foundation Vaassens mill with the aim to achieve a grinding mill skilful.
The reconstruction began in 1989 and in 1990, the National Mills mill turned in full glory as windmill.
The recovery was very profound and largely came down to rebuilding: as the old octagon turned out very bad and had to be renewed completely. The work was carried out by molenmakerij Great Roessink Supporters and contractor Van Laar from Vaassen respect basement, attic and first proposition.
In rebuilding the original design is quite changed: formerly were the millstones on the proposition attic (not unusual in that region), now an attic above. The mill was formerly covered with reeds, but with wood and roofing felt.
From 2008, the mill was in full debate, due to plans to partially renovate the village and to provide new construction. As a consequence they wanted to, due to the expected reduced windage, increase the mill. Opinions were divided about it seriously. Eventually it was decided to increase.
In March 2012, started this. First, the mill has been moved approximately 30 meters to the other side of the street. Then the foundation is weighted to the actual place.
On May 8, 2012, the mill was put back, and the mill was raised.
On September 7, 2012 was the increased time and again completely skillful mill officially inaugurated.
