Long Description:The Seminar buildings were constructed in 1941 as three distinct classroom buildings separated by courtyards, at a cost of $80,000. Charles W. Hawkins (1864-1958) was professor of ancient languages at Florida Southern College from December 1935 to 1957. Hawkins authored the current Florida Southern College Alma Mater.
The Seminar buildings were re-configured in the 1960s and now house college business offices.
Visitors are welcome on the campus. Please park in marked visitor parking, or along Johnson Avenue, on the west side of campus. Walking tour brochures with maps are available here:

The Florida Southern College Architectural District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
