Edward Limonov, a real Russian writer who has emigrated to the United States has been living a miserable existence in New York City as demonstrated in his fictional memoir- "It's Me, Eddie". In the middle of the book, Limonov has been having a meeting with a fellow emigre. The pair decide to get high and they go to the Main Library on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue to buy some pot. Then, Limonov's friend brings him to the Latham Hotel to meet a saxophonist from Russia who had just emigrated as well.
