The aviary displays indigenous birds mainly from New South Wales but also Ring Necks from the tropical north of Queensland. You walk down a corridor to view the birds. The thickness of the wire is to stop the sulphur crested cockatoos from breaking out so don't stick your fingers through no matter how innocent they look, otherwise you'll be a digit or two less.
There were as many cockatoos on the outside looking in as the other way round, they being very social.
